A short film by Moses Omobolaji and Akanbi Wonderful
The music is inspired by Africa's indigenous music genre; Afrobeats. It describes the spirit and cultural atmosphere of the city of Lagos, and also speaks to the political streak present in present day Nigeria. Much like the art direction, the film score interprets the story and underscores the film's philosophy.
We believe that a strong theme like the one portrayed in New Age, inspired by creative imagination and told through the powerful magic of animation, can move people and influence our future generations like nothing else can. I believe very strongly that nothing is impossible. This movie was birthed at a time when the whole world had barely recovered from a pandemic and the economical crisis in most countries was overwhelming. We started New Age on zero budget, but with passion and fortitude, we look to leave a lasting impact on our world with this beautiful story; New Age, birthed in the daunting post-Covid-19 era.
Dedicated to every member of the New Age team.
Moses Omobolaji
